Terms: This is a seasonal, full time job

Salary: will be negotiated and depends on the skills and experience of the applicant.

Education: The applicant should have completed university.

Experience: is an asset.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Red Cross Swimming Instructor/Life Saving Certificate, First Aid Certificate, Water Safety Instructor (WSI), National Lifeguard Service (NLS) Certificate.

Recreational Concentration: Aquatics, Canoeing, Arts and crafts, Nature games and crafts, Archery, Games

Type of Clients: Children

Work Setting: Camp

Activity Focus: Leading/instructing individuals, Leading/instructing groups, Patrolling/supervising activities

Specific Skills: Instruct groups and individuals in arts and crafts, Lead groups and individuals in recreational or leisure programs, Plan and carry out fitness and sports activities, Plan and carry out recreational activities, Enforce safety rules and regulations, Understand principles of group dynamics, Mediate disputes, Schedule activities

Additional Skills: Provide emergency or first aid assistance, Assist with special events, Prepare reports, Train and supervise staff, Keep logs and maintain records

Security and Safety: Child welfare check

Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver’s licence, Own transportation, Own vehicle, Willing to travel, Public transportation is not available

Work Location Information: Staff accommodation provided, Remote location

Ability to Supervise: More than 20 people

Work Site Environment: Outdoors, In/on water
